Bike Fit

A bike that fits you properly will give you the most enjoyable ride that will be both efficient and fun.

Bike FittingBody Geometry is the gold standard of bicycle fit. Focusing on a neutral body position based on the rider's flexibility, strength and style of riding. It was not only the first uniformed fit system but also the only process focused on a rider's anatomy. Educating the fit staff in what the rider's body is doing while on the bike is the focus of Body Geometry fit and the only way to know what directions to adjust the bicycle.

We ensure that after your session with one of our bike fitting experts you'll have a clear understanding of how your body works on a bicycle and why a proper fitting bicycle is so important to your riding experience. A bike that fits you correctly will be safer, more comfortable and more fun. Orange Cycle's ultimate goal is for you to be able to ride longer, with less stress on your body.

Body Geometry Fit:

Our Body Geometry Fit starts with documentation of your current fit, followed by a  interview regarding your cycling history, your cycling goals and any past injuries on and off the bike which may directly affect your flexibility and ultimate comfort on the bike as it relates to the three contact points on the bike: the feet, your rear end and hands.

  • 20-Point Flexibility Assessment: This series of evaluations provides an accurate picture of your flexibility and other physical attributes that will determine your final riding position. Assessments include foot structure, knee position, spinal curve, and hip flexion, among others.

  • Side View Analysis: By assessing the side view of you on your bike, your fitter will establish a correct neutral position that's both powerful and comfortable by precisely adjusting seat height, handlebar height, stem length and cleat position. This is achieved by using visual cues as well as Body Geometry specific tools. This includes an angle finder (go-knee-o-meter), a multi-position stem and a plumb line.

  • Front View Analysis: Analysis from frontal view will optimize your hip, knee and foot alignment for greater performance and balanced power delivery. Includes analysis of pedal and shoe placement and squareness on the saddle.

  • Report: You will receive a digital Fit Report which includes before and after pictures, your bike measurements pre and post fit and your full physical assessment report.

  • Follow Up: After a week or so, our technician will call you to discuss the effectiveness of the adjustments and answer any other questions and concerns.

Body Geometry/Retül Bike Fit: This fit experience is best suited for those looking for the perfectly fitting bicycle.

This fit starts with documentation of your current fit. This is followed by a brief interview regarding your cycling history, your cycling goals and any past injuries on and off the bike which may directly affect your flexibility and ultimate comfort on the bike as it relates to the three contact points on the bike: the feet, your rear end and hands.

  • 20-Point Flexibility Assessment: This series of evaluations provides an accurate picture of your flexibility and other physical attributes that will determine your final riding position. Assessments include foot structure, knee position, spinal curve, and hip flexion, among others. The bike fit will be performed using the rider's own bicycle. In some cases the fitter can choose to use the Retül Müve Fit Cycle. This would happen if the rider is looking to purchase a new bicycle or the existing bicycle is not the correct size.

  • Side View Analysis: By assessing the side view of you on your bike, your fitter will establish a correct neutral position that's both powerful and comfortable by precisely adjusting seat height, handlebar height, stem length and cleat position. This is achieved by using visual cues as well as The Retül Vantage 3D Motion Capture System. This data helps the fitter track and record the results of the changes that are made to the rider's bike.
  • Front View Analysis: Analysis from frontal view will optimize your hip, knee and foot alignment for greater performance and balanced power delivery. Includes analysis of pedal and shoe placement and squareness on the saddle. The Retül Vantage 3D Motion Capture System is used here to minimize knee lateral travel and determine the need for footbeds or shims to align feet, knees and hips.
  • Report: You will receive a digital Fit report which includes your full physical assessment report, bike measurements, measurements of the rider based on Retül data and pictures of the rider from different angles.
  • Follow Up: After a week or so, our technician will call you to discuss the effectiveness of the adjustments and answer any other questions and concerns.

Cost: $300.00

Time: approximately 3 hours
